Kolander has been working as a professional natural
dyer since the early 1970s. She is the author of several books, and the founder of a small charity called MamaDoc. She was the one who introduced the products at Natural Safe Hormones and provides all the information for her completely complementary educational site TrueFibers.
MamaDoc has spent many years helping those less fortunate in third world countries. It started with the projects in the Dominican Republic where the entire native area was wiped out and continued now to India and Uzbekistan where she brings commerce and encourages the artistic works of the poorest communities by selling their products. MamaDoc has recently started a new campaign to help our fellow american citizens and although donations are nearly non-existant at the moment, we have hope that this can be a worthwhile endevor and that people actually do care about the plight of their fellow americans.
TrueFibers, although new, is gaining in popularity as the natural dye market comes into worldwide focus. This was designed and supported entirely by Cheryl and her daughter in law. We believe knowledge is power and this site is geared towards those who have very little experience with any dyes, let alone natural dyes. We even have a tutorial on how to thread a needle! We believe that we need to make the process as simple and well explained so that the entire process is less intimidating. This is also the place where Cheryl is free to let out all her thoughts and feelings about life, love, politics and travels.
Natural Safe Hormones goes right along with these other sites in providing education to the general public as well as natural herbal supplements designed to encourage the well-being of individuals. This site offers remedies instead of pills, hope instead of lies, and herbs instead of poisons.
Cheryl spent her entire life gathering all this information, starting these companies and foundations and presenting them to you, the consumer. Our most valued asset is you. Without you we have no business, the world ceases to function. If you do not have faith in us, we cannot function and will fade into oblivion only to be remembered in books of times long ago. Without you all this information would be lost, out there in the world, floating like the gentle spores of pollen.
