Soft Single – Tussah

Description

Soft, smoothly spun from lustrous, long staple tussah, wild silk. Think knitted scarves, baby caps, or weaving weft for a durable, drapable fabric. Perfect weft with the Tussah Fine 2-ply wild silk as warp.

Approximately 1,800 yards per pound, thickens on washing or dyeing, and reduces in length to about 1,600 yds/lb. The metric count is 4/1  (4,000 meters per kilo). Knits to about 6 stitches per inch.

Each skein weighs 3.5 ounces and is 400 yards long.
Each cone has 17 ounces net (yarn) weight.
